Clean Money Clean Elections (C.M.C.E.) makes our elected officials accountable to the voters and not in debt to the big donors by providing candidates for public office the option of using public funds to run their campaigns. Candidates who qualify to receive public funds cannot legally accept any private contributions.

 It levels the playing field: All Clean Elections candidates get an equal amount of campaign funds so that they can run on their ideas, ability, and integrity instead of on how much money they can raise.
